Luck of the Irish!

St. Patrick's Day fell on the third Thursday of the month this year, so it was practically begging Cara to host an Irish themed meal.  We gathered for a feast of predinner delights, including a Cheese and Guinness Fondue, served with crusty bread, apple slices and roasted cauliflower and broccoli.  The main meal featured Shepard's Pie, boiled cabbage, other traditional Irish fare and green inspired dishes.  The evening was capped off with a selection of sweets and Bailey's on the rocks.  Heidi provided our gold at the end of the rainbow (cupcakes) with her homemade chocolate truffles.

Happy Birthday, Jenn!

February 2011: This month we celebrated Jenn's birthday with a surprise party during TTG.  Martha kindly hosted at her place and everyone brought an appetizer to share.  Many wishes to Jenn for a wonderful year!

New Year, New You?

January 2011: For our first TTG of 2011, Kristen combined TTG with a Mary Kay event for a friend of hers.  Everyone brought spa-themed dishes and enjoyed a true girls-night-in with facials, masks, and makeovers.  I brought cucumber cups filled with hummus- a new favorite appetizer!  Easy, versatile and healthy- I hope to try them in the summer with gazpacho.
